At the core of every TN2 Nitrogen Generator System is the best membrane available. The PRISM® hollow fiber membrane is capable of selectively separating the components of ambient air (permanent gasses & variable components) and producing nitrogen up to 99.9% purity.

Compressed air also contains other gasses and impurities in concentrations that reflect ambient conditions:
- Water Vapor
- Carbon Monoxide
- Sulphur Dioxide
- Ammonia
- Smoke/Soot
Rate of diffusion of each of these components through the membrane material and then through its wall is determined by permeability. The gasses that are highly soluble within the membrane permeate quickly and form a separate gas stream. The superior membranes in TN2 Systems are engineered to separate the nitrogen gas stream from the other gasses and impurities with very high efficiency, thus minimizing energy consumption.
By adjusting compressed air volume and pressure, purity of the nitrogen gas that is generated by the TN2 System can be adjusted. This versatility enables nitrogen purity to 99.9% where needed, or energy savings where purity of 95% or below can be used.
